It has been a few weeks since I posted here - have had a lot of personal stuff going on.  However I am back (for now) and have a couple of cards to show today.

 

On this first card I have used a new Couture Creations Perforated Mesh die which looks really cool.  The rest of the embellishments are from Stampin Up and some crystal bling.

 

The base of this card is a Scallop Tag Topper Punch Fancy Fold Card seen on www.stampwithtami.com again using Stampin Up products.

 

 

 

On this last card I have used a Marianne Design French Cats die with a Flowerfull Heart from Stampin Up and an old PSX I Love You stamp that I have had for years.

Hi All.

 

Today I have another 2 Valentine's cards to show.  Although it just makes choosing one harder as I like them all.

 

They both use Stampin Up's Flowerfull Heart stamp.  The one below uses a Cutterbug script embossing folder.

This next card is one I made for a friend's Mother for Mother's Day, using Stampin Up's Flower Shop stamps and a doily die from Couture Creations I think.

Lastly a lovely little bookmark made with Stampin Up's scallop tag punch and a lovely little stamp from Penny Black that I thought would suit this job as soon as I saw it.

Hi All.

 

It is Waitangi Day here in New Zealand, and a perfect day in Christchurch - sunny and warm.

 

So I have spent part of the day down in my craft room playing around with my new Gift Box Punch Board by We R memory keepers.  Making gift boxes has never been easier. 

 

I've also been making Valentine's Day cards, with 2 examples below to show you.  Silver, black, red and white look quite dramatic together don't they?

 

 

 

 

I have used the heart stems die by Impression Obsession - very cute. 

 

I have also made a friend's birthday card, but that is under wraps for now.  Enjoy the rest of your day.  See you later ...

Hi All.

 

This week I had a 21st card to make for my nephew, so I adapted a design I found on the internet using Stampin Up's Gorgeous Grunge stamps.  I jazzed it up with some sequins and my hexagon punch - so cool.

 

 

 

The next card is my first attempt at a gorgeous little card in a box.  These little beauties fold flat and can be posted in a C6 envelope.  Such a lot of fun to make, but a bit time consuming.  Here I have used some lovely Grace Taylor papers and the flowers are Stampin Up Flower Shop stamps and punch. 

 

There are so many things you can do with this card.  A quick look at You Tube will give you several tutorials on how to make it.  This won't be the last one of these I make - lovely for special birthday or friend.

Some of us are enjoying the lovely 30 degrees here in Christchurch today (me included).  I have been busy taking photos for the little bow I made on Friday.  So here goes -

 

 

Start with 2 strips of paper 1 inch x 5 inches and 1 of 1 inch x 6 inches, and a little extra piece for the middle if wished.

 

Take one of the 5 inch pieces and line it up at the 2-1/2 inch mark, punching both sides of the paper as shown.  

Do the same with the other 5 inch piece.

 

The 6 inch piece gets lined up at the 3 inch mark.

 

 

 

Round the corners of one of the 5 inch pieces and the 6 inch piece.

 

Then centre the other 5 inch piece as above for the ribbon ends.

 

Take the 5 inch piece and put a little glue on each end and fold towards the centre, but don't flatten.

 

 

 

Do the same with the 6 inch piece.

 

Put some glue in the centre of the 6 inch piece and place on the ribbon tails.

 

Do the same with the 5 inch piece.

 

 

 

Then wrap the thin piece around the centre or add some other embellishment if you desire.  I think they look great and they are easy to do with your envelope punch board.  Hope you give it a go.

Hi all.  Yes I am still around.  I hope you all had a great New Year.  I spent New Year's eve in Westport with my husband and several friends,  then went off to Nelson for a few days.  Since then I have been enjoying some of our nice weather, although we have had rain and some colder days as well. 

 

Back in to the craft room and I have been busy making birthday cards for January - 3 for January 29th would you believe!

 

The first is for a friend who loves cats and is also a big Crusaders fan - hence the red and black.

 

 

 

The second is for a friend who loves fishing.

 

 

The last card is the one I made for my husband's birthday using a great little stamp I found at Hastings Rubber Stamps of Hurricane aeroplane.  I love how the kraft frame turned out.

 

 

 

 I also found this little video on how to make a bow using your envelope punch board, so had to give it a go.  The example below was the first one I made and I used a square punch on the ribbon tails as I prefer a square cut to the rounded finish you get with the punch board.  I will do a few more photos of this over the weekend to add to this post showing how it was done.

 

 

In the mean time I'm off to cook a bacon and egg pie for tea.  Enjoy your evening.
